Bobbo was studying Film and Animation in NID, Ahmedabad. NID is considered one of the best institute for Design and Bob was very happy when he got through the entrance test and then the final viva round.
Right from his childhood, he was very creative and artistic and we all felt that he should have acareer in designing. But we did not know about this Institute till Bob passed his class X Boards. After his X Boards, as all parents, papa was also very keen so he went to this coaching institute for IIT and got him enrolled by paying the full annual fees. Bobbo was really not keen to do it, but he did go to the classes for a week, but after a week, he was frustrated and he told Dad clearly that he is not interested in any career in IIT.

When Bobbo got the admission in NID, it was like a dream come true. He really deserved NID. NID was the best place he could have been during his last years. So serene and scenic, it really gives a very creative environment. The last few years were the happiest of Bobbo’s life, we could feel it, as if he got a new life and it was all thanks to NID. When he came back for holidays during his first year, he had a completely new look, long hair, pierced ears, wild carefree look so different from the crew cut-disciplined look.

After his death, we went to NID to complete some formalities. It was the worst experience and a memorable one also. None of us could get ourselves to even think of visiting NID, Bob always wanted us to visit NID, and finally when we did he was not there to show us around, he was not there to narrate all the fun they had in and around the NID campus. We roamed the entire college, and everywhere we could picture him, with his sling bag, his hair falling all over his forehead and we could hear his good heavy throated laugh as if he was laughing his heart out over a PJ with his friends.

We could see him in the canteen where he must have eaten so many hurried lunches or leisurely ones enjoying every moment. When we entered his room, it was really sad. We could feel him around. All the time some vision of a happier time would play in front of our eyes, as if Bobbo was there around us. When we were at NID we were part of their ragging season, as foundation students had started coming in. His friends were having the best time of the year, and they also dragged us into that. It was so much fun and we experience a part of his life at NID.

When we met his faculty, he was all praises for Rameshwar as they knew him. He promised to compile all his animation work and send it us. We just couldn’t stop ourselves from crying all the time.
What we saw around us was a huge group, his NID friends, his most near and dear ones in the last couple of years. All sad on losing their best friend and happy at once while narrating to us different experiences from previous years.

The monsoon fiesta at NID was dedicated to Bobbo this year. And they also had a Bobbo cup for the all rounder in Sports.

Bobbo will live on in the memories of his friends and families forever and in the spirit of NID. He was NIDian in the true sense. Selfless, creative, loving and a true genius.
As someone said “The students at NID are a rare breed, privileged as they are with an environment so conducive to exploring and expressing their identities through art and design. ” We feel happy that our brother was so happy to be at NID and he enjoyed the company of all his great friends.. friends, who continue to share their daily updates and the usual masti on facebook, of which Bob used to be a part..
